Happy birthday Amber and happy holidays to all, I wish I were on that other side of the border to be celebratory with you :)
Just testing if the time change thing worked...

Can someone tell me how to work this time issue out? I posted at like 8:30 and it says it was posted in the afternoon?? Somehow it's like 8 hours off, and the clock on this page I post from has the right time....any suggestions?
ps - the busy and accomplished smiley are the exact same....kinda bunk

Everyone has been so good about posting about their lives I imagine I should too...
I am getting the hang of all this technological mumbo-jumbo, I just managed to add all of you as friends, however I'm not sure how to join the community...I also made my lj somewhat prettier...I'm not satisfied with it yet by any means, but it is an improvement over the default...thanks for all your help Pebble!!
Last week shall be dubbed "the bunk week of GRE taking". It didn't go too badly, but I don't care to repeat it, and I'm not sure I like the computer format. One of the words in the antonym section was "crotchety", which made me laugh...silently to myself that is, as I did not wish to be kicked out for disruption of a test or accused of cheating or talking. Now I have to do the actual applying to grad schools, which I hope to finish up before I leave for Brasil in two weeks.
Today I have class, and then work, and then I'm going to sign the lease for my apartment! We will get the keys Nov 15th, but I probably won't move in until Dec. Last night H informed me that he has to take one day off from work before christmas or he will lose it as a paid vacation day, so he offered to take a day off work to help me move...I have to try to get the day off for myself too, however, it's way harder for me to get time off than it is for him to (given the situation that he is being forced into a vacation day, whereas I have to fight for mine). So everyone shall have to come and visit me in my lovely new home, and play the piano that will be in my living room :)
This weekend was pretty fun and hugely unproductive. Friday I had class and work, and then went to H's where we ate that good soup his mom makes with those rice pattie things and shrimp and asian veggies. We took his little brother to a soccer conditioning practice which was held in the gym of my old elementary school. Gary is a little pain in my butt. He keeps trying to correct my grammar, I feel like I'm at home or something, with my dad teaching me the proper uses of "take" and "bring". *smack* We then found out that you can rent DVDs from Kroger (the grocery store in our area) for only one dollar per day. You put your credit card in this machine and it shoots out a DVD, and to return it you just put the movie back into the machine. One dollar beats the 4$ it costs to rent a movie anywhere else. We usually only rent movies if we plan to watch it that night, so the one night rental isn't a problem. Got home late, and slept rather shortly. Saturday my momma and I went and did some shopping for more formal work type pants. I found a dream pair that I love, and I look forward to wearing them to the next interview I have. They fit me PERFECT. Saturday night we went out for a movie and saw Borat, which was the most politically incorrect movie I've ever seen. It definitely had some funny parts, but I draw the line at naked males wrestling one another...Sunday Keri, Tom, and Mckenna and Kevin all came over for dinner and a football afternoon. The bears lost so Tom was flipping out and woke me up from my lovely floor nap with screamed profanities. Other than that it was a lovely evening, with my momma's yummy homemade mac and cheese. I followed dinner up with a whole lot of laziness.
Now it's monday and I must do tons this week to catch up and stay on track in life. Homework ahoy!! Raise your hand if you are horribly disappointed by the lack of Piz in VM! You don't just introduce a great character and then never show him. He's wallace's roommate, why is he never in the room when wallace is? PIZ! PIZ! PIZ! PIZ!
